About Us

A recovery home built on hope and community.

Oakwood Recovery Accomodation is a project operated by Brighter Day Cafe CIC — a Community Interest Company reinvesting all surplus into services that support recovery, wellbeing and social inclusion.

Our mission

To provide a safe, stable, and recovery-focused home where residents can rebuild their lives, develop independence, strengthen their wellbeing, and successfully reintegrate into the community.

Our approach is trauma-informed, person-centred, and based on dignity, respect, accountability, hope, and long-term recovery.

A social enterprise model

As part of Brighter Day Cafe CIC, we are driven by purpose rather than profit. Surplus generated by our activities is reinvested directly into recovery support, community services and pathways into employment.

This model means every partnership, every referral, and every cup of coffee sold at the Cafe helps sustain safe housing for people in recovery.
